Commercial landlord software
RentDocs today is built for the UK residential private rental market — the Renters' Rights Act 2025, deposit protection, gas/EICR/EPC, PRS Ombudsman. Commercial premises run on a different legal spine, so we don't force-fit it into the same product.
Why commercial isn't in RentDocs (yet)
- Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 — security of tenure, contracted-out leases
- FRI (Full Repairing & Insuring) leases, service charges, dilapidations, break clauses
- Rent reviews, Code for Leasing Business Premises, CPSE enquiries
- VAT option to tax, SDLT on leases
- No deposit protection scheme, no PRS Ombudsman, no Awaab's Law, no Right to Rent
A commercial mode would be a second product, not a toggle. If enough of you want it, we'll build it.

RentDocs is ready — including for portfolio landlords, Ltd-company SPVs, and letting/estate agents managing on behalf of landlord clients. Mixed-use property? The residential portion is fully covered per unit.
