Overview
There is nothing stopping you agreeing instalments, but each payment becomes protected money the moment you receive it. The 30-day protection clock runs from receipt of each part payment, not from the date the deposit is finally complete.
Practical guidance
- Protect and issue prescribed information for the first instalment straight away.
- Top up the protected amount in the scheme as further payments arrive.
- Keep dated receipts so you can prove when each payment landed.
